As part of Colleges Week, which aims to celebrate the impact colleges have in their local communities, we welcomed West Yorkshire Police onsite to run a planned initiative around the government’s mission to ‘Take Back Our Streets’. This has involved a range of awareness-raising activities with our students to promote safety, and foster positive relationships between young people and the Police.
We are aware of recent threats being made towards schools and would like to reassure our college community that this activity is unrelated.
We have been in regular communication with the Police and have been assured that there is no specific concern or threat to the College. The safety and wellbeing of our students and staff remains our highest priority and we will continue to follow police guidance.
