College statement: No evidence of RAAC

Following the recent press coverage around the use of reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC) in the construction of UK public buildings, we can confirm there is no RAAC present in our college buildings.

We followed Department for Education guidelines and commissioned a survey by a structural engineering company on our Percival Whitley Centre building, which was constructed in 1957. We are pleased to say the survey found there was no evidence of RAAC construction.
