Free training for employers, managers and leaders!

Equip managers with the skills they need to confidently and effectively manage and lead their teams with our free Management Development Programme.*

The eight-module programme is especially designed to upskill line managers who are responsible for managing apprentices, or who will be doing so in the near future.

Participants who enrol onto the course will undertake each module in one day sessions on a fortnightly basis through a combination of engaging presentations, tasks, workbooks and group work.

The modules will cover:

• Leadership styles
• Communication skills
• Meetings, briefings, negotiation
• Time management and delegation
• Motivating and developing the team
• Managing change and innovating
• Learning and development in the workplace
• Creating and enhancing relationships

The course aims to teach managers and leaders how they can motivate and empower employees, create an upskilled workforce and, in the long-term, increase business efficiency and productivity

The training is part of the Collaborative Apprenticeships project and is funded by the European Social Fund (ESF). The project is managed by the West Yorkshire Consortium of Colleges (WYCC) and Calderdale College is supporting the delivery.
