The new Calderdale College Netball Academy is now up and running. The Academy has been formed to develop the skills and fitness of any female learners who wish to participate. Coach Kathryn Cromie is pleased that the new Academy has already generated much interest across the College and with help from Sports Coordinator Lee Greenwood, Kathryn has signed up a number of ladies who wish to be part of the exciting new team.

Year 11 students studying for BTEC First Certificates in Construction at Calderdale College’s Construction Skills Academy in Mytholmroyd have proudly shown off both their joinery and their driving skills at a Go Karting event which was held at Calderdale College on Saturday 15th May.

Healthy Living Week took place last week throughout College and was aimed at promoting physical well being and nutrition as well as emotional wellbeing and relaxation. Learners and staff enjoyed the range of events that took place, which included fitness testing, a sports day, manicures and massage.

Two special guests presented certificates at Calderdale College’s 14-16 Awards Evening held at the Shay Stadium. Phillip Hill-Pearson, ex-student of Calderdale College and star in the recent series of Channel 4's ‘Shameless’ and Halifax Rugby League player Ben Black both took part in last night's celebrations.
