Student Footballers to make FC Halifax Town debuts

Playing professional football is a dream for many youngsters, but not always realistic. This is not the case for four students who have been selected to play with the first team of FC Halifax Town. Hayden Keris, Jason Carney, George Fry and Sanchez Heffernan who are all learners with the Football Academy will play their first match this week against Farsley competing for the West Riding County Amateur Cup.

Hayden Keris, Jason Carney, George Fry and Sanchez Heffernan who are all learners with the Football Academy will play their first match this week against Farsley competing for the West Riding County Amateur Cup.

"It is a very exciting time for the players, showing that their commitment and the route through College is the right one to take. The Football Academy is producing quality players and proving that aspirations to play semi professionally are not a pipedream." Des Hazel Football Academy coach.

If you would like to give your support to the team the match takes place at Farsley, Wednesday 9th December. Kick off is at 7pm.
