Meet the Course Leader

Anne Hemingway, Course Leader, IT

"After studying at The University of Nottingham I worked in the public, private and voluntary sectors. Before committing to full-time teaching, for many years I combined a job in industry with part-time teaching roles, arriving at Calderdale College several years ago. This allowed me to bring my experience of current workplace practice to the classroom. As the Course Leader of the Foundation Tier of ICT, I've always aimed to provide a stimulating, supportive and enjoyable environment where learners can achieve a nationally-recognised qualification in a subject relevant to every modern workplace."

Student Testimonial

Former Level 3 IT student, Luke Ashton

I'm here because the College is the only place I know in Yorkshire that does Computer Games Programming and it's a great stepping stone to university. I would recommend this course because it offers a different environment to school. When you go to school and do Computing, you don't learn the skills that you learn here. I would like to go onto university once I finish this course and I have been given the tools to do that by Calderdale College."
